About SN116 Carbon
Producer-side code release for the AX42 startup host, cut at main 8c698a3 on the owner's direct word ("Cut it now, don't wait"), given in the PR Head session. He was also relayed as approving it by the Test Lead; this cut rests on his own word, as r7.1, r8 and r8.1 did. Cut without waiting for #1144 (the dashboard board fields) or #1145 (the score proof's tau-ceiling line), at his instruction. Why this exists: three things needed a release past r8.1 (038fd24). #1129, SCORE-PROOF-01 amendment 7: two-gate score candidates and registry v7, with the corrected pickable check (PICKABLE-02). r8.1 has no gates, so the score proof's sealed confirmation could not run on it. #1133, amendment 8: VERIFY-R on the Q3 quiz and registry v8, under OWNER-VERIFY-R-DEFAULTS-01 (k = 3, 120 s per verification panel, 1,200 s regret unit; the owner confirmed those three values directly). #1143, VALIDATOR-33 A: the feed's king, handovers, target_to_beat and as_of_block fields, which the dashboard's --winner-ledger needs. Additive, under the same schema; readers drop unknown keys. 42 pull requests merged between r8.1 and this commit. Both score registries are additive and prove it in tests: #1129 asserts every v6 candidate present in v7 is identical to v6's (150 -> 255), and #1133 has test_registry_v8_keeps_v7_and_adds_verify_r. Registries v1-v7 are untouched by #1133. Each of the two removed exactly one assertion, in both cases the REGISTRY.name version pointer. Flagged for the operator, because it is not a refactor: carbon/challenge_validator/battery_scoring.py changed via #1032 and #1098. #1032 (TORCH-POD-01) makes battery's scoring v2 serve PyTorch. A proposal naming backend pytorch that r8.1 refused with REFUSED_BACKEND_NOT_SERVED is now admitted and built as a PyTorch pod job. The early refusal is still tested, held on the v1 record. carbon/challenge_validator/network_snapshot.py is new (#1137): the dashboard's signed network snapshot, signing public chain data with the validator's feed
