Method: α per coldkey, summed across every validator hotkey, read from the chain's own share pools at one block. The subnet owner's coldkey and the protocol's root-basket escrow are set aside for Top holder, Top 10, Nakamoto, HHI and Gini — the owner is usually the largest holder by far, and leaving them in measures the owner rather than the market; the escrow (the runtime's modlsubtensrbeta/esc account) holds validators' basket positions for root stakers and is no wallet at all.
