Privacy policy

The short version: Taosis collects as little as possible, sets no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and never sells data. This page explains exactly what is collected and why.

Analytics — first-party and cookieless

To understand how the site is used, Taosis counts page views in its own database. For each view it records only the path (never the query string), the referrer host (the domain that linked to us, if any — never a full URL), and a random visitor id your browser keeps in its own localStorage. That id is not a cookie, is not linked to your identity, and does not follow you to any other site. No IP address is stored. This measurement respects your browser’s “Do Not Track” setting: if it is on, no view is recorded. You can clear the visitor id at any time by clearing site data for taosis.com. The pages are also served through Cloudflare, which may keep its own aggregate, cookieless edge statistics as our infrastructure provider.

Wallet addresses

Bittensor wallet addresses and everything staked to them are public on-chain data — Taosis reads them from the chain, it does not obtain them from you. When you connect a wallet, the extension shares your public address with the page so it can show your positions and let you sign; Taosis never receives your private keys or seed phrase, and cannot move your funds. If you sign a swap through the form, a minimal audit record of it (your address, the subnet, side, amount, fee and transaction hash) is stored so the operator can account for fees collected.

Subscription email

If you buy the paid email-alert subscription, you provide an email address. It is used only to send the alerts you asked for and, if needed, essential messages about your subscription. It is stored alongside your wallet address and the on-chain payment reference, is never sold or shared for marketing, and is deleted on request. Email is delivered through Resend, our email provider, which processes it solely to deliver your messages.

What is NOT collected

No advertising cookies, no third-party analytics or social tracking pixels, no fingerprinting, no location tracking, no sale of any data. Third-party subnet logos used to be loaded from external hosts (which could see your IP); they are now served from our own server precisely to stop that.

Cookies & local storage

Taosis does not set tracking cookies. It uses your browser’s local storage for conveniences that stay on your device — your theme choice, your starred subnets and screener column choices, and the random analytics visitor id described above. A short-lived session token (created when you sign in with your wallet to manage alerts) is also kept locally.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete the personal data held about you (essentially: your subscription email), and to object to its processing. To exercise any of these, contact [Contact email — to complete]. On-chain data cannot be altered or deleted by anyone — it lives on a public blockchain, not on Taosis.
