About SN64 Chutes
Jon's talk at Exploit was an hour on how Parallax works. Here's the part that matters if you never plan to read a paper. Most AI today lives in a building someone else owns. They set the price, they keep the logs, they decide what you're allowed to ask, and they can switch it off. Parallax is us building the other version. Models small enough to run on a phone (an 8B model did about 60 tokens a second on a Snapdragon, CPU only) and cheap enough to train without a datacenter (about $6,500 for the whole 8B run). Spread across enough ordinary machines that nobody gets to switch it off. That's the whole project. The maths is in the talk. parallax.chutes.ai
