Why the same subnet shows different numbers on different sites
Same chain, different definitions: which price, which supply, which window, and whether a blank is allowed to stay blank.

Which price, which supply
"Price × supply" hides two choices. Price can be spot — the pool's reserve ratio now — or the chain's own moving average, SubnetMovingPrice, which the runtime uses for emission and the deregistration queue. Supply can be everything minted, α in pool + α staked out, or that less α burned. Taosis's market cap is EMA price × (α in pool + α staked out − α burned); spot × everything minted reads higher on a burn-heavy subnet.
Taosis's own Supply column still counts burned α, so supply × price sits above market cap on the same page. Both are correct; they answer different questions.
Which window, which sample
Percentage changes are spot against Taosis's own sample taken that long ago. A site that sampled at a different minute, or from a different node, gets a different "24h" because both ends of its window are different ticks.
APR is one epoch annualised on the subnet pages and a 24-hour median in the validators directory; a seven-day figure is a third question. Volume sums buy and sell fills only — moves, swaps and transfers carry the same τ as the pool legs written for them and would double-count.
Which holders, which formula
Holders are coldkeys, not people, above a 0.000001 α dust floor, published only when the scan covered at least 98% of the α and reconciled with the chain. HHI is min-normalised, (HHI − 1/N) ÷ (1 − 1/N), owner excluded, so not comparable to a raw HHI. The takeover threshold is the runtime's 18%, not the 10% published elsewhere.
Rates are the other trap. Chain buys per day is the excess τ on one block × 7,200 blocks per day — a rate at one instant, not a measured day. Emission % counts τ injected into the pool plus τ spent on chain buys; the injection alone is a different quantity.
How to settle a difference yourself
Every figure is on the Definitions page with its meaning, formula, chain storage and caveat; each screener column header carries the short version. The Status page shows the age of every source.
Two last causes. The TAO/USD rate is the one figure not read from the chain — external, display only — and varies by provider. And a dash is never a zero: where another site prints 0 for a value it did not read, Taosis leaves a blank, which can itself look like a difference.
