Medical video is bigger than you think, and Vidaio can be the Catalyst for Change!
About SN85 Vidaio
Walk through any hospital and you’ll find video everywhere. Cardiology stores ultrasound cine loops that capture a beating heart in motion. Cath labs record short fluoroscopy runs while clinicians thread catheters and deploy stents. Endoscopy and laparoscopy suites generate hours of HD and 4K footage. Surgeons record cases for review and teaching. Then there are the portals and telehealth apps that let patients and remote specialists see all of this outside the hospital walls. It’s not just a few JPEGs in a folder; it’s a constant stream of multi-frame DICOM (Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine) clips and long-form operating room video that must be moved quickly, viewed clearly, and retained for (up to 30) years. Hospitals organize this world with two systems. PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) is the day-to-day workhorse where radiologists and cardiologists read studies, route them to colleagues, and manage worklists. VNA (Vendor Neutral Archive) is the long-term, vendor-neutral archive, the system of record that keeps studies (and increasingly, video) searchable and available across departments and sites. Both systems are essential, and both are under cost pressure as volumes and retention policies grow. This is where we fit in. We don’t touch diagnostic masters. The canonical DICOM and native OR recordings remain exactly as they are. What we do is compress and, when appropriate, gently enhance the viewing and transport layer wrapped around those masters, so loops, runs, and recordings reach clinicians faster, start playing sooner on imperfect networks, and look crisper on everyday screens, without clinical risk. In other words, Vidaio is a savings and experience layer that sits neatly between PACS/VNA and the viewers, portals, and conferencing tools people actually use. From an investor’s point of view, the attraction is the combination of market scale and speed to measurable ROI. Imaging hardware, software, and services together represe
