About SN116 Carbon
Carbon | Development Update: October 19–26 Path to Mainnet Last week one model made it end to end. This week we built everything around it so miners can show up and compete. Time to let them eat. Full Testnet launches this week. Mainnet is next. The gap will be small we hope and depend on how testing goes. Long one again. A lot happened. Four Challenges locked in Motor optimization: Torque across the rotation angle, against a magnetic field simulation AI Chip Cooling: A cold plate’s temperatures and pressure drop, against a thermal-fluid simulation Ribbed Bracket: Vibration and natural frequencies, against a finite-element solver Burst Thermal: Heating under bursts of power near a 95 °C limit, against a heat-transfer solver One exam architecture. One app. One scoring system. Challenges are plug and play. That’s how we onboard customers fast. This is huge for our ability to stay agile. Carbon is a system built for anything that fits the architecture. Score = Value We now score an actual inverse design competition against the solver. Inverse design Is a engineering and materials science approach that starts with desired performance goals or target properties, then uses computational optimization or machine learning to automatically work backward and find the ideal structure, shape, or material configuration. This is the big one. Customers don’t just want predictions. They want the right design. We run our own optimizer with the miner’s model as the fast stand-in for the physics. The model steers the search. The design it lands on is graded against the BEST design the real solver found. An average design scores zero. Only designs close to the true best score well. Pick a design that fails a limit: zero. The optimizer gets a handful of tries. No brute force. The other half of the score is accuracy and physics behavior Accuracy on hidden cases, accuracy on the hardest cases, and how well outputs obey the physics. NEW: Whether the model…
SN116 Carbon at a glance
SN116, Carbon (α token ъ), is one of the independent markets on the Bittensor network, each with its own α token and its own price. Its α currently trades at 0.022161 τ (≈ $5.46), against 1,454 τ of pool liquidity. On-chain, the best-delegated validator on it yields about 144.70% APR (simple) and 324.98% APY (compounded), emissions add 0.000000 τ to the pool each block, epochs run every 360 blocks. It was registered at block #9,210,632.
