About SN116 Carbon
Physics AI helped researchers build a microheater with a 175% increase in evenly heated area. The full paper is in the comments, but here's the summary... Researchers combined a learned simulation surrogate with an automated search process to explore designs that met manufacturing constraints. They then fabricated the optimized heater and measured its performance. The share of its heating area within ±2°C of the average temperature increased from 34.7% to 95.6%. That’s a measurable improvement in how a real device works. The result came from getting the whole process right: defining the engineering objective → searching feasible designs → predicting their performance and checking the outcome in hardware. This is the direction we’re building toward at Carbon: discovering physics AI models whose capabilities translate into useful engineering decisions, backed by evidence that those models can be relied on for the task. More productive research should give engineers more ways to improve the things we build.

SN116 Carbon at a glance
SN116, Carbon (α token ъ), is one of the independent markets on the Bittensor network, each with its own α token and its own price. Its α currently trades at 0.023932 τ (≈ $6.31), against 1,511 τ of pool liquidity. On-chain, the best-delegated validator on it yields about 147.25% APR (simple) and 335.94% APY (compounded), emissions add 0.000000 τ to the pool each block, epochs run every 360 blocks. It was registered at block #9,210,632.
