Preparatory talks have been underway for several months. Details of the partner and the operational setting will remain limited. Given the nature of the programme, that is intentional. The evaluation is planned to begin in April 2027. It will be the first autonomous programme of this kind Swarm has taken into the field with a European security force: coordinated interceptor and multi-agent search-and-rescue behaviour, tested under conditions closer to real deployment than a benchmark or a demonstration flight. Swarm’s commercial work already includes autonomous surveillance for solar infrastructure. The 2027 programme sits on that same line — applied autonomy, not a slide deck. Simulation first.
